Two plans. One key difference.
The Essential plan relies entirely on your family circle to respond when an incident is confirmed. The Professional plan adds a staffed monitoring team who review incidents in real time and attempt to reach your parent and circle by phone. That difference matters most when the wearer lives alone or circle members are not reliably available.

What staffed monitoring means in a real emergency
Without staffed monitoring (Essential)
When an incident reaches S3, your circle members receive an alert. Whether anyone calls emergency services depends entirely on whether a circle member sees the alert, understands it, and acts on it. If all circle members are asleep, unavailable, or slow to respond, there is no professional fallback.
With staffed monitoring (Professional)
When an incident reaches S4, a trained operator reviews the incident in real time and attempts to reach the wearer and circle members by phone. The operator does not contact emergency services directly — that decision remains with the circle — but they can provide a second layer of awareness and prompt action when circle members are slow to respond.
