Privacy policy

This policy explains what data Guardian collects, why, and what we do with it. It is written to be read, not to obscure.
What we collect
Name, email address, and password (hashed). Required to create and access your account.
Name, date of birth, and the medical summary you enter (medications, conditions, blood type, GP contact). This is the data sent to circle members during an incident.
Accelerometer readings and heart-rate data from the paired smartwatch, processed to detect incidents. Raw sensor data is not stored permanently — only event records and aggregated summaries.
GPS coordinates from the paired device, captured at the time of an incident and shared with circle members. Location is not tracked continuously outside of incidents.
Names and contact details (email, phone) of people you add to your circle. We use these to send incident alerts.
Timestamped logs of each stage transition, actions taken, and circle member responses. These are retained for the life of the account and can be exported or deleted.
What we do not collect

- ✓We do not share your medical summary with anyone outside your configured circle, except as required by law.
- ✓We do not store continuous location history.
Data retention and deletion
Your account data and incident records are retained for the life of your account. You can delete your account at any time from account settings. Deletion removes all personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
You can export your incident records at any time from the account dashboard.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR and equivalent legislation, you have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
Demo build notice
This is a demonstration build. Data entered during the demo may not be subject to the same retention and deletion guarantees as a production service. Do not enter real medical information into this demonstration.
