Terms of service

Last updated: September 2026

What Guardian is

Guardian is a consumer wearable safety application. It is not a medical device, not a regulated emergency service, and not a substitute for calling emergency services. By using Guardian, you acknowledge these limitations.

Your responsibilities

  • —You are responsible for ensuring the wearer understands how Guardian works and has consented to being monitored.
  • —You are responsible for keeping the wearer's medical summary accurate.
  • —You are responsible for ensuring circle members understand their role and are able to respond.
  • —You must not rely on Guardian as your only safety measure. It should complement, not replace, other arrangements.
  • —You must call emergency services directly if you believe someone is in danger.

Limitation of liability

Guardian is provided as-is. We do not guarantee that detection will work in all circumstances, that alerts will be delivered, or that circle members will respond. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for harm resulting from a missed detection, a failed alert, or a delayed response.

This is not a waiver of your statutory rights. It is a statement of what Guardian is and is not.

Subscriptions and billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly. You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months. In this demonstration build, no real billing occurs.

Changes to these terms

We will notify you by email before making material changes to these terms. Continued use of Guardian after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
